The City of Cape Town launched its MyCiTi mobile application four months ago. Since the launch, over 21 000 commuters have downloaded the app and the site has been accessed more than 430 000 times. MyCiTi boasts new direct route from Atlantis to Sea Point

The City continuously monitors the routes and travel patterns of the customers on its MyCiTi bus service and from time to time implements adjustments to respond to commuters’ needs. One of the most recent and successful adjustments has been the introduction of the new 115 route, which is an extension from the Atlantis T02 route and connects commuters directly to Sea Point via the Grand Parade.

City secures R300 million Dutch-funding for public transport in Khayelitsha

Today Council gave the City the greenlight to sign an agreement with the Dutch Government whereby the City of Cape Town’s Transport Directorate will receive R300 million of grant funding over the next five to ten years to improve public transport for our commuters from Khayelitsha and Nyanga.
