CAPE TOWN MARATHON EVENT SHUTTLE

Participants in the Cape Town Marathon can enjoy a free shuttle service operated by MyCiTi for race day on Sunday 20 October 2024.

The free shuttle services will operate as indicated below. Please note that all other connecting routes and services require each passenger to have a myconnect card loaded with money for travel.

CIVIC CENTRE – STADIUM SHUTTLE

Buses will run frequently between the MyCiTi Civic Centre station and the Stadium station between 04:00 and 05:00 before the event.

UNIVERSITY OF CAPE TOWN – STADIUM SHUTTLE

Buses will run frequently between the UCT Shuttle North Stop and the Stadium station between 04:00 and 05:00 before the event.

CENTURY CITY – STADIUM SHUTTLE

Buses will run frequently between the Century City park-and-ride area on Century City Boulevard and the Stadium station between 04:00 and 05:00 before the event.

THEO MARAIS PARK – STADIUM SHUTTLE

Buses will run frequently between the Theo Marais Park in Milnerton and the Stadium station between 04:00 and 05:00 before the event.

CTICC – STADIUM SHUTTLE

Buses will run frequently between the Cape Town International Convention Centre at the City Sightseeing bus stop and the P3 drop-and-go parking on Granger Bay Boulevard between 04:00 and 05:00 before the event.

Post event shuttles will run from the Stadium station to the abovementioned pick-up points between 10:00 and 14:00.

DHL STORMERS VS MUNSTER


A free shuttle service will be operated by MyCiTi on Saturday 19 October 2024 for fans attending the DHL Stormers vs Munster rugby match at the Stadium. 

Civic Centre – Thibault Square – Stadium MyCiTi Stations

Buses will operate regularly between the Civic Centre, Thibault Square and Stadium MyCiTi stations.

  • First bus from Civic Centre station: 15:30
  • Last bus from Stadium station: 22:00 


CTICC – Stadium
Buses will run frequently between the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC) at the City Sightseeing bus stop and the P4 drop-and-go area on Helen Suzman Boulevard at Vlei Road.

  • First bus from CTICC: 15:30
  • Last bus from P4 drop-and-go area on Helen Suzman Boulevard: 22:00

Fans must present their match tickets to MyCiTi staff in order to gain access to the free shuttle.

 All other MyCiTi services require passengers to have a myconnect card loaded with money to travel.
