City investigating cause of fire on N2 Express bus

The City of Cape Town’s Urban Mobility Directorate is investigating the cause of a fire that broke out on a MyCiTi N2 Express bus shortly before 08:00 this morning, 9 January 2023, on the N2 inbound lane close to Bhunga Avenue. Thankfully, nobody has been injured.
New stops for Atlantis and Khayelitsha

The A01 Airport – Civic Centre service will be discontinued with effect from 1 December 2022 until further notice. This is due to the impact of the ongoing, high cost of diesel and low passenger numbers recorded on this route.

Late-night service for switching on of festive lights

MyCiTi will provide a late-night service to Khayelitsha, Mitchells Plain and Hout Bay on Sunday 27 November 2022 for passengers who wish to attend the traditional switching on of the festive season lights in Adderley Street.

The facility will be located adjacent to Wetton Road, in close proximity to the M5 and Rosmead Avenue. Residents and interested and affected parties are encouraged to submit their comments by 9 December 2022.
Call for comments on major revamp of Wynberg public transport interchange

The City of Cape Town has developed a concept plan for the major refurbishment of the Wynberg public transport interchange (PTI). The plan is now available for public comment until 9 December 2022.
