It’s safe, affordable and super easy to use, it’s the MyCiTi bus service that’s become a household name. With a myconnect card, and money for travel, the city is your playground from early in the morning to late at night.

Some of Cape Town’s most visited attractions are within easy reach of a MyCiTi stop. Take a trip up the mountain with the new Table Mountain service. Catch the Camps Bay buses to Klook Nek stop and then transfer within 45 minutes at no extra charge.

Markets are a must, and there are so many to choose from. On Saturdays the Old Biscuit Mill and surrounding area in Salt River is the place to be for food, music and great shops (take the 102 bus from the CBD).

If you love a bargain then the Milnerton Flea Market on the Paarden Eiland seafront is the place to be. This traditional flea market is on Sundays (take T01 to Zoarvlei station).

In the city centre, there’s the famous Greenmarket Square market, Grand Parade and vendors in St George’s Mall to take in, along with the annual Christmas market in the Company’s Gardens.

Don’t miss the switch-on of the famous festive lights in Adderley Street on 14 December 2014, with fun for the whole family. Many of the MyCiTi routes start and end in the central city, at Civic Centre and Adderley Street stations, offering easy access from as far afield as Atlantis, Khayelitsha, Mitchells Plain and Hout Bay.

Enjoy a day at the beach anywhere from Hout Bay to Camps Bay, Clifton and Sea Point and along the West Coast at Milnerton, Blouberg, Big Bay and Melkbosstrand.

There’s a MyCiTi service to every one of these world-class destinations. Shop till you drop at the V&A Waterfront and Canal Walk, the Cape Quarter in Green Point or in the central city. Then relax over lunch or dinner before heading home.
