The City is calling on residents in Khayelitsha and Philippi to submit their comments on several proposed kerbside stop locations planned for the future routes that form part of the MyCiTi Phase 2A expansion of services in the Khayelitsha and Philippi areas. The public have until 29 September 2025 to comment or object to these locations.

A number of stations and stops were previously approved as part of the Phase 2A expansion of MyCiTi bus services to connect commuters from Mitchells Plain and Khayelitsha with Wynberg and Claremont.

Residents are advised that the service will commence incrementally, along the planned routes before construction of some of the permanent infrastructure is complete. Temporary kerbside bus stops will therefore be implemented at these proposed locations until the construction of the permanent stops and stations is complete.

Residents are to visit the following link to provide input on one or more of the proposed stops. Please note to use the correct reference number for each stop you are referring to: capetown.gov.za/City-Connect/Have-your-say/Issues-open-for-public-comment/myciti-kerbside-bus-stops-in-khayelithsa-and-philippi. The public are also more than welcome to email their input or hand deliver comments to their nearest Subcouncil office.
