Following a review of MyCiTi services, changes to routes, timetables and kiosk operations will take effect between 4 October 2014 and 1 November 2014. This is to ensure efficient, cost-effective services that are more frequent in peak hours and less frequent when there is limited demand.

4 October 2014

Adderley and Waterfront stations open 

Adderley station will serve several routes in and around the city, Sea Point, Camps Bay and Hout Bay. It also offers convenient transfers from nearby trains, minibus taxis and local and long-distance-bus services. 

The Waterfront station will connect Cape Town’s most visited destination with services to the central city and along the Atlantic Seaboard to Queens Beach station. 

Both stations will offer a full suite of myconnect services, offering passengers greater choice and convenience.

Some buses will turn around at Gardens stations. Change for Vredehoek.

113 Sea Point – Fresnaye – Three Anchor Bay: Route cancelled

11 October 2014

In the Table View area, route 214 will be shortened to operate between Marine Circle and Parklands Main North stops. Route 217 from Melkbosstrand will terminate at Table View station. These changes mean that the Coromorant and Seaside Village stops will no longer operate. 

214 Marine Circle – Table View – Parklands
. For Big Bay, change to 217 at Table View. Cormorant and Seaside Village stop will no longer operate. 

217 Melkbosstrand - Big Bay - Table View
. Change to 214 for Parklands.

18 October 2014

106 and 107 Camps Bay routes terminate at Civic Centre. For Waterfront Silo, change to 104 at Civic Centre. 

108 and 109 Hout Bay via Sea Point routes terminate at Adderley station (change for Civic Centre or catch T01 from Thibault station). These buses will continue to travel along Main Road in Sea Point but will no longer connect with Queens Beach station. 

108 Hout Bay leg via Princess Street discontinued. As a result, the Princess East and Princess West stops will no longer operate. 

108a Sea Point – Civic Centre
New direct route between travels along Sea Point Main Road between Queens Beach and Civic Centre stations. 

A01 Airport – Civic Centre
The Airport service will terminate at Civic Centre, with some buses continuing to the new Waterfront station and stopping at Thibault, Stadium and Granger Bay stations along the way. 

Buy-back of cards and single-trip card
Buy-back of myconnect cards will be discontinued, and a single-trip card launched. Single-trip cards will cost R30 for any journey (includes transfers) or R75 for any journey linking with the Airport station.

Station  kiosk hours
Kiosk operating hours will change and underused kiosks will be closed and staff moved to service new stations that are opening. The following kiosks will cease to operate:  Granger Bay, Grey, Janssens, Killarney, Lagoon Beach, Milnerton, Paarden Eiland, Porterfi eld, Potsdam, Royal Ascot, Sandown, Section, Stadium and Sunset Beach.
