Monthly Pass users affected by the bus driver strike in April 2017 can apply for a reimbursement pass at selected station kiosks from 10 to 14 July 2017.
MyCiTi has identified more than 600 passengers who were unable to use their Monthly Pass during the national bus driver strike from 12 to 16 April 2017.
These passengers can apply for a reimbursement pass to be loaded onto their myconnect cards. Each eligible passenger will receive a pass that is valid for the number of days that their Monthly Pass could not be used due to the strike, as reflected on our systems.
To apply, follow these steps
1. Print and complete the Monthly Pass Reimbursement Form, available below or from one of these station kiosks: Adderley, Airport, Atlantis, Century City, Civic Centre, Gardens, Kuyasa, Melkbosstrand, Mitchells Plain, Omuramba, Table View and Wood.
2. Submit your completed form at one of the station kiosks above from 10 to 14 July 2017 and keep your customer slip.
To collect, follow these steps from 21 July 2017:
1. Visit the same station kiosk where you submitted your application form from 21 July 2017 and a reimbursement pass will be loaded onto your card for immediate use — unless you have an active Monthly Pass at the time.
2. If you have an active Monthly Pass on your card after 21 July 2017, you must wait until the day before it expires and visit the same station kiosk where you submitted your application. Your reimbursement pass will be loaded.
MyCiTi regrets the delay in finalising this reimbursement process.
