Service improvements coming to Khayelitsha, Atlantis and Table View

We are excited to announce a number of improvements to routes and services in Table View, Khayelitsha and Atlantis on 9 November 2024.

KHAYELITSHA
Two new stops will be added to route D02 in Khayelitsha after assessing requests from passengers to make it easier and safer to catch the bus.

ATLANTIS
A new stop will be added to route T03 in Atlantis to help make the service easier to access for employees at the Ankerlig Power Station.

TABLE VIEW
The 214 and 216 routes in Table View will be adjusted to better serve this growing part of the city. There will also be minor timetable improvements to routes T01, 214a, 215, T01x
Route 214
- Some buses will connect with the new commercial and housing Rivergate precinct, with 4 new stops at Armstrong, Rivergate Primary, Enterprise and Cosmonaut.
- Passengers in Pioneer Valley will benefit from a more direct and quicker connection to Table View and Marine Circle.

Route 216
- Route 216 will be reconfigured to connect with Parklands north by providing a direct route from Wood station to Table Bay Mall and via Cormorant Avenue to Big Bay.
- There will be 5 new stops introduced along the way.
- The previously unused Seaside Village and Cormorant stops on Cormorant Avenue will be reinstated to serve route 216.
- The Humewood and Devonshire stops will no longer serve MyCiTi passengers until further notice.
- Blaauwberg Hospital, Waterville and Nantucket stops will no longer serve route 216. Passengers can continue to connect with Wood and Table View stations from thee stops via routes 213, 215 and 223.

T01 Express
Potsdam and Circle East stations will be added to the T01x express service, creating a quicker journey option for passengers travelling to the city centre.
