As part of the City of Cape Town’s ongoing initiative to improve public transport services, the phased construction of MyCiTi bus stops in Century City, Melkbosstrand, Milnerton, Summer Greens, and Table View has commenced.

This involves replacing temporary bus stops with permanent structures across the footprint, following a successful public participation process. As a result, some permanent bus stops will be built a few metres from their original locations.

What to expect

• Services will remain fully operational during construction, although minor delays may occur.
• Temporary lane closures may occur while construction work is in progress.
• Temporary MyCiTi bus stop poles will be relocated approximately 30 meters from the active work area to safeguard all road users.
• Access to properties will be maintained at all times.
• Traffic signage and safety offcials will guide residents and motorists through the affected area.
• Passengers are encouraged to plan ahead and to download the MyCiTi app for the latest bus times.
