With effect from Friday 1 May 2026, all route D01 buses at Civic Centre will arrive and depart from a temporary MyCiTi stop outside Civic Centre station. This change is in preparation for additional, leased buses that will be used help serve route D01 while the permanent fleet undergoes refurbishment.

What route D01 passengers need to know

• From 1 May, all buses will arrive at and depart from the temporary MyCiTi stop at the drop-and-go on Hertzog Boulevard, outside the Artscape Theatre. 
• Whenever you use this stop, you will need to tap in and tap out on the bus.
• To transfer to another route, tap out on the bus and go to the Civic Centre station entrance to tap in and continue your trip. You will not pay extra, since your fare is based on the total distance of your journey.
• The leased buses will be introduced gradually and look different inside, but but are clearly branded like other MyCiTi buses and the same rules apply.
• The leased buses do not have ramps or wheelchair space. Passengers with wheelchairs are advised to wait for one of the permanent MyCiTi buses, which can dock at the station platform when needed for easy access.
