MyCiTi’s Airport service will resume operations as of 1 November 2021.

The service has been suspended since March 2020 due to the Covid-19 lockdown and related travel restrictions.

Buses will now once again operate every 30 minutes between the Civic Centre and Airport MyCiTi stations, between 05:00 and 21:30 on weekdays and between 06:00 and 21:30 on weekends. Passengers arriving in Cape Town can conveniently access the service right outside the Airport terminal building and connect directly with the city centre, where you change to various other routes to reach your destination.

If you are in Cape Town, you can access the Airport from anywhere on the MyCiTi network by catching the bus to the Civic Centre station and transferring to the A01 route. The good news for regular passengers who work at the Airport is that you can still get a Monthly Pass for R790.

If you are a new user, you need to get a myconnect card from a MyCiTi station and load it with value to get going. You can load a Mover package from R20 and pay for the distance you travel, or you can enjoy unlimited travel on all our routes with a 1, 3 or 7 Day Pass from only R70.

Planning your journey with MyCiTi is now easier than ever. Download our free, official app and let our trip planner suggest the best times and routes to get around. You will also get live updates indicating when the bus is due to arrive based on its location at the time. Help is also available 24/7 by calling 0800 65 64 63 (free from any device).

Please help us all stay safe from Covid-19 by wearing your mask properly at all times, washing or sanitising your hands regularly and keeping a safe distance from fellow passengers.
