CAPE TOWN MARATHON

Cape Town Marathon participants can purchase tickets to access one of the special event services operated by MyCiTi on Sunday 19 October 2025. 

Park-and-ride, shuttle tickets and MyCiTi single-trip tickets are available via the Cape Town Marathon website.

Participants will need to present their tickets to access one of the following event shuttles:

 

BEFORE THE EVENT – you will need to buy your shuttle ticket (R10) online

  • MyCiTi Civic Centre – MyCiTi Granger Bay station

Buses will operate frequently from the Civic Centre station to the Granger Bay station between 04:00 and 05:00.

  • Century City – MyCiTi Granger Bay station

Buses will operate frequently from the Century City park-and-ride area on Century Boulevard to the MyCiTi Granger Bay station between 04:00 and 04:30.

  • MyCiTi Table View – MyCiTi Granger Bay station

Two buses will operate an express service from Table View station to Granger Bay station between 04:00 and 04:30.
*Please note that there is no dedicated event service to Hout Bay after the event. Participants can however take any scheduled MyCiTi bus from the Stadium or Granger Bay MyCiTi stations using their single trip ticket or a myconnect card loaded with value.

  • UCT – MyCiTi Granger Bay station

Buses will run frequently from the University of Cape Town Shuttle North Stop to the MyCiTi Granger Bay station between 04:00 and 04:30.

  • CTICC – P3 parking on Granger Bay Boulevard

Buses will run frequently from the City Sightseeing bus stop at Cape Town International Convention Centre to the P3 parking on Granger Bay Boulevard between 04:00 and 05:00.

  • Hout Bay– P4 drop-and-go

Buses will run frequently from the MyCiTi Hout Bay staging area (corner of Promenade Road and Melkhout Crescent) to the P4 drop-and-go on Helen Suzman Boulevard between 04:00 and 04:30.
*Please note that there is no dedicated event service to Hout Bay after the event. Participants can however take any scheduled MyCiTi bus from the Stadium or Granger Bay MyCiTi stations using their single trip ticket or a myconnect card loaded with value.

  • Camps Bay – P4 drop-and-go

Buses will run frequently from the Maidens Cove MyCiTi bus stop to the P4 drop-and-go on Helen Suzman Boulevard between 04:00 and 04:30.
*Please note that there is no dedicated event service to Hout Bay after the event. Participants can however take any scheduled MyCiTi bus from the Stadium or Granger Bay MyCiTi stations using their single trip ticket or a myconnect card loaded with value.

 

AFTER THE EVENT - 1

  • MyCiTi Stadium – Civic Centre station

Buses will operate frequently from the Stadium station to the Civic Centre station between 10:00 and 14:30.

  • MyCiTi Stadium station - Century City

Buses will operate frequently from the Stadium station to the Century City park-and-ride area on Century Boulevard between 10:00 and 14:30.

  • MyCiTi Stadium station - UCT

Buses will operate frequently from the Stadium station to the University of Cape Town Shuttle North Stop between 10:00 and 14:30.

  • P3 parking on Granger Bay Boulevard - CTICC

Buses will operate frequently from the P3 parking on Granger Bay Boulevard to the Cape Town International Convention Centre between 10:00 and 14:30.

  • Waterfront Loop Shuttle

Buses will operate frequently in a loop within the Waterfront precinct, with buses departing from the P3 parking on Granger Bay Boulevard between 10:00 and 14:30.

AFTER THE EVENT - 2

  • Hout Bay, Camps Bay and Table View

Participants returning to Hout Bay, Camps Bay and Table View can take any scheduled bus from the Stadium or Granger Bay MyCiTi stations using their single trip ticket or a myconnect card loaded with value.
